A Walk with Self

intro

Snow was thick as the sun had set
Walking beside was a man I had met,
Face in dark and eyes in pain,
Strangely the man knew my name...

Voice was familiar, shoes were mine
His words sent shivers down my spine.
He knew everything about my life,
Was he himself or in disguise?

Spoke just what I needed to hear
Gave me the strength to fight my fear,
Like a mirror he made me see
How to be happy, how to be free

We walked together for quite a while
Was it a few yards or was it a mile?
I asked where he was bound, he said
“Life is a circle and we go round”…

Suddenly he started to walk fast
“Who are you?” I finally asked,
The familiar voice started to speak,
"Your reflection is what you seek"
