Tea and talk
Sun is about to bid goodbye,
Day was tough as per your eye,
Well done my friend, for you did try,
Let’s have a cup, no tricks, no lie.
Since morning you have been on your toe,
But that’s life, to go ahead you need to row,
Anyway let’s not break our flow,
Tell me something that I don’t know.
Tradition of talking over tea is old,
A place to speak what has never been told,
Be it heat or be it something cold,
Speak freely, there is no need to hold.
My friend your secrets are safe,
Day is over and so is the chase,
A good talk demands patience and space,
So Have a cup and put forth your case.
Poems are not necessarily about some cause or feelings or thoughts or even emotions. Sometimes they are just a request or a plea or an invite.
This poem is my invite to all my readers to have a cup of tea with their tea partners.
