Prerogative of being perfect

We may be allowed to stutter during our most important speeches.

Even the finest of music have breaks in them and yet it reaches

the hearts which it so intends to.

I often make mistakes on the most important days

and then struggle to make amends in my many ways

which happens to define what I really do.

The prerogative of being perfect doesn’t apply to those who dare

for they are the ones who accept the fare

of acting on their believes.

Despite their obvious shortcomings they still care

to pursue what will one day make them rare

and that is what perfection is to those few.

In life there is no prerogative of being perfect.

It is more about the courage to do when most suggest not to

and we all know what we need to do.
