A day without Purpose

And then one day the alarm didn’t go off,

perfect way to get up in the morning.

It was like purpose took a day off

and despite our idiosyncrasy it felt refreshing.

A day without purpose was unfathomable to say the least.

We wake up with the intension to do the silliest of things.

Maybe to brush our teeth or feed the belly of the beast,

We walk ourselves across the room with strings.

So here it was, a blank bright morning

asking nothing out of no one.

The whole point of “What are we doing?”

was left moot like a night after dawn.

It was nice and nothing more

for exclamation comes with attachment

which in turn leads to purpose

and that was not how the day was meant to be spent.

Hope you have a nice day without Purpose.
