Harrowing Lanes

Day in and out, walking while knowing

that the lanes do not lead to a location, desired,

must indeed describe a possibility unrealised.

As harrowing as it is in acknowledging,

many walk such lanes, unsurprised,

and later either digress or end up redefined.

The connect with goals in these days

does carry a gravity, holding our hopes in the orbit.

At the centre of hopelessness,

life finds reasons to keep us all away from it.

A world for wondering wanderers

never fully takes a shape to define.

Similar are these lanes that many walk,

despite making a circle, they form a beautiful line.

It is never a place but a day

when the destination finally seems appropriate.

It will only be unfair if the wanderers stop and say

things which others are to find in their own way.
