The silent

My silence today may say that I am weak,

Hold on to that thought.

You have all the right to speak,

Anything that floats your boat.

They say clouds that thunder seldom rains,

My fury is never spent in vain.

You had your word, I dare you to say again,

I promise you… We quiet ones are insane.

Go ahead, boast of your false valour,

But don’t ever think I will stay put.

To understand you must have a stature.

Ignorant one, hope that I don’t set my foot.

From my bed to the main door

Every morning I take 30 steps,

From my bed to the main door.

Game for the day thus sets in motion,

30 steps determine how much I will score.

All the while I seek 3 lines,

What do I want to do today?

How bad do I want it?

Where do I need to improve?

What I want is to do better than yesterday,

And I want this feeling every single day.

I lack skills in every direction,

I suppose I am an idiot is what we should all say.

With these 30 I leave my house,

Ready to dance to today’s tune,

Every morning from my bed to the main door,

I set myself up as the World impugns.

Phoenix

Darkest nights fear from thee,

Thou who art the bearer of light.

Endless shadows that can always be,

Cripple at the Phoenix’s flight.

Blazing wings that art thy glory,

Burning heart that is thy desire,

Flaming eyes that art thy passion,

Together makes one the bird of fire.

Phoenix that ends the reign of zilch,

Only re-borns from its ash.

Darkest nights fear from thee,

Thou who harbours fire in flesh.
