Finding

Few years back I had set out to find

Something.

I found it but

It didn’t change anything.

Why would it?

I just wanted to find it

And never meant to understand

The purpose and the use.

Tomorrow I am setting out to find

Something.

I hope this time…

Dear Ghost of Past

You never leave, do you?

And just stay somewhere out there.

Your presence becomes weak with time

But you don’t leave.

Thank you for not leaving

And reminding me of the gone.

Because of you, Dear Ghost of Past, I never stopped believing.

Stay with me until my work is done.

I forbid you

It is Forbidden!

And now I have your attention.

Something really significant

Ensures its retention.

It challenges us in a way

Like a decree that binds.

Words after it barely sway

For it imprisons minds.

It makes us want something

Which had no value till now.

The most manipulative word,

It is Forbidden to know how.

Magical, isn’t it?

9 letters is all it takes.

Next time upon hearing it,

Don’t repeat the same mistakes.

For it is Forbidden.

Abrupt

♦ The day you let pride consume you, the gift that made you will desert you.

In the loudest night amidst cheers,

Shiney lights and beloved dears,

It forsake in form of tears.

Realizing the biggest of fears.

Pride took over,

And stunted the prowess,

And while in hangover,

Revoked was the allowance,

For it no longer deserved to be,

The gift that was bestowed on me.

Anonymity

Ever noticed how people act when they think they are invisible?

We all have a fear of being judged.

For it can put a dent in our glory.

False glory if it can be smudged,

Introspect while I reveal the folly.

Fear is due to the identity,

One we call as our Name.

While in case of others’ we find serenity,

We are afraid to be associated with shame.

So we venture out as anonymous,

For without our Identity we lose that fear.

Ironic, same person with the same purpose,

Under anonymity decides to really appear.
