A Legend’s Legacy

At the end of this path

turn around and look back.

You shall see a warpath

and a part of your legacy.

You will one day walk far away

and some kid will try to reach to you.

On that day, hope that your legacy convey

to not follow your path but to walk on one’s own way

and that you shall greet the kid when he does reach

and hope that the kid goes farther away

then you ever did.

A legend’s legacy.

Want to hear me recite this one? Comment below 🙂

Speak, I’ll listen

Today, I won’t speak but would like you to. You have a listener in me. Speak, I’ll listen.

Sanguine words fall on deaf ears

when the listener is tired.

Sometimes it’s better to just hear

the person who is haywire.

Often the solution comes

from a one sided conversation

because answers are already there on the tongue

and there is a perfect time for revelation.

Ever noticed how a child sleeps,

after a good long cry?

That child is grown up now

and has been devoid of a good cry.

Be patient just like a parent

and allow the flow of resentment

because a warped heart cannot ever see the present.

Speak my friend until you are content.

Once upon a time…

Every day is a start.

It’s up to us to decide the one

Which will play the cardinal part

To a story which has begun.

Or maybe we can have two stories,

With one start and two endings.

Every story embodies,

So many characters who are pretending.

One life is lead by each

Yet many versions of it are later preached.

Same characters but with different speech,

Oh wait, no story remains unbreached.

Start is one but point is different.

Ending for them is when we choose not to understand.

Your story you may not understand,

Because Once upon a time is perceived, not planned.

May I have your attention please!

I want you to read “it”

I am an addict.

I cannot live without it.

An insurmountable urge from within,

Makes it impossible to quit.

It.

It here is a habit,

Which shoots my wit

And makes me unfit,

Or as they say, misfit.

To find peace I chose to commit,

To my inner voice I submit.

But atleast I am not a hypocrite,

For I have the courage to admit.

Funny, your thoughts right now,

Whispering the signs of distress.

But I never disclosed “it”.

Maybe I didn’t want to impress.
