Being wise

A wise man once said…

This world was harmed more due to the silence of the wise than due to the shouts of the foolish.

Being Wise

It’s not easy to be wise,

Hearing all that you know is wrong.

Speaking only after you think twice,

A wise man never sings his own song.

Know this for if you are wise,

It is not just a privilege but a duty as well.

In this chaos of veracity and disguise,

A wise speaks only when others stop to yell.

Be a guide to all who are lost,

But in a way which is welcoming and humble.

For you are the wise who knows the cost,

Ensuring that the world doesn’t crumble.

Kings may be judges of the earth, but wise men are the judges of kings
Solomon ibn Gabirol
